Help us keep the Dreams of Families and Children Alive

During this holiday season let us not forget about the increasing numbers of unhoused families and children in our community. At EOCP, every unhoused family seeking stability finds much more than shelter – they are also welcomed by a team that provides intensive support and connects parents and children to permanent housing and needed supportive services.

In 2023, we served 163 families, including 259 children and youth, through all of our programs. The successful partnering of EOCP staff and families has resulted in 61% of these families securing permanent housing.

EOCP’s resources are devoted to breaking the disconnection that our families face NOW. While life has gotten a bit better since 2020, many challenges persist. Attaining greater stability and permanent housing has become harder to achieve due to rising housing and rental costs. We will do our best to continue to respond to the housing crisis in east Oakland and throughout Alameda County in 2024.
