A Call for Action

EOCP was born out of such action 35 years ago, when community members insisted that unhoused people in Oakland and Alameda County could no longer be ignored. EOCP continues to be a strong and persistent voice for the well-being of unhoused individuals and families in East Oakland and throughout the county.

In these changing times, we are calling on all of our friends and supporters over the years to act and join us in our vision and work for a thriving, healthy, multigenerational community, where no one is left behind without shelter or care. With your help, EOCP can continue to provide unwavering care for people of all ages as they survive the challenge of homelessness.

Only with the help of others who believe in our vision of empowerment and healing, will EOCP survive the tough future that our country is facing. EOCP is moving towards its fourth decade of life as an organization with a destiny of healing, working jointly with individuals, families, groups and the community-at large.
